911 National Day of Service – Box Elder County

An opportunity to serve friends, neighbors, and the community at large!

Serve - Build Unity - Assist Those in Need - Improve Your Community

Who can participate? – Anyone and Everyone willing! How can I participate?

– Help/Serve others!

– Service opportunities are planned for Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 8:00 am- 11:00 am, in Mantua, Utah

– Meet at the Mantua Main Street Park at 400 North, Main Street at 8 am

– Bring gloves and, if you have one, a shovel, rake, and/or wheelbarrow, for Main Street painting- paint brush. Kids of all ages are welcome!

– Donuts and water will be provided

– Hamburgers & Hotdogs served at Maple Springs Park as soon after the 11 am end as we can. Service Volunteers from all the Mantua areas invited.

– When will the service happen?

– Many throughout our nation are planning service in commemoration of 9/11, on or around September 11, 2024

– Projects listed on JustServe.org

– ANYTIME! If you are serving a friend or neighbor and organizing a project, you can pick anytime that works for you to serve!

“More than anything else, we wanted something positive and good to come from the tragedy, to help give some semblance of meaning to the loss of so many innocent people in such a terrible way,” David explains. “We didn’t want the legacy of 9/11 to forever be defined by the evil expressed on that day, but rather by the remarkable spirit of togetherness and compassion that arose in response to the attacks.” -– David Paine

CEO and co-founder of the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance Day
