The Utah Department Transportation (UDOT) is preserving the Mantua Bridge deck in both directions. By addressing wear and year early, UDOT can extend the bridge’s lifespan and avoid the expense of major rehabilitation down the road. Prioritizing preservation, enhances safety and reliability for drivers, and adds substantial long-term cost savings for tax payers. See the project website for additional information.

Construction Impact

Bridge deck maintenance is set to begin on March 10, 2025. During construction, lane closures will be in effect, but at least one lane will remain open in each direction at all times. Motorists should expect minor delays up to 15 minutes as traffic slows through the area. Access to intersections within the project limits may be temporarily restricted. Please cautiously and reduce speed near construction barrels and cones. All lanes will reopen during nighttime hours, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, occasional flagging operations will be in place to guide traffic under the US-89 bridge as needed.
